Sarah Martina *Day 2*

Here's our next card by Sarah:
Three words--- GORGEOUS. SHABBY. CHIC. Yep, I think it's official, Sarah is the Queen of charming shabby chic cards. I love the texture of the white background paired with the soft purple and yellow of the flower and ribbon. The tag with script is a fun layer on this card, too. And don't forget that little button- pure perfection.

I must admit, shabby chic is a style I love, but I have trouble replicating. This is definitely not one of my favorite cards, but I decided to post it anyways. Here is my take (quite humble compared to Sarah's!!): Thanks again for popping by! See you tomorrow! HUGS!

You are so right, Sarah has got the shabby chic style down to perfection, her card is a wonder! But you my dear have a wonderful vintage style all your own, heavy on the chic with just enough shabby! Love it!
bless you!

I think this is a wonderful take on Sarah's pretty card! Your colouring on the hydrangea is lovely, as is your shading and distressing on the tag, and the yummy way you inked the embossed paper! A really lovely card, Jill!

I agree with you, she's the queen of shabby. But you're the queen of distressing!!! Love that bg and your hydrangea looks like a real flower!

Oh my word, girl... this is FAR from humble! Agata is right on... you are the queen of distressing! I think my favorite part is the inked, embossed background... So scrumptious! Excited about tomorrow! :-)

It's wonderous how you take her shabby chic style and turn it into your distress style, very clever - love your dynamic looking Hydrangea!

Both cards are lovely! I know what you mean when you say "shabby chic is a style I love, but I have trouble replicating" - I have the same trouble!! Our theme this month at Inkurable Stampers is Shabby Chis Christmas - you should pop over and give it a go! :)
