Lisa *Day 5* and a Giveaway

I want to begin today by thanking Lisa for allowing me to share her work here on "Inspired by..." and for always being such an inspiration to all of us stampers! Remember you can see lots of Lisa's cheery creations HERE. This is our last inspiration photo by Lisa:The beautiful color scheme in Lisa's photo inspired me to create this: I began by inking up a Penny Black cling background by coloring it with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Markers. I spritzed my stamp before stamping. Next, I added shading directly to the stamped image using PITT Artist Pens. The center die cut was then distressed with Crushed Olive Distress Ink. The background began as white cardstock and was distressed using Worn Lipstick, Brushed Corduroy, Wild Honey, and Fired Brick Distress Ink. Sentiment by Penny Black 3380D Feel Better. Now for a giveaway--just what every Friday needs; right? :) The sweet Britta Swiderski has given me a copy of her new and exciting e-book, No-Stress Distress Inks, to giveaway. You can read more about the e-book HERE. To win, just leave a comment on this post and Britta and I will announce a winner on Monday. Be sure to include your email with your comment so we can get the book sent to you if you win! :) Have a fabulous weekend, my friends! HUGS!

I've loved this week watching you create cards from photo inspiration. Although I'm a photographer, it never occurred to me to do that. Probably because there's more inspiration on the internet (and this blog!) than I can manage to recreate as it is! But it's been fun and made me open my eyes to new possibilities. Although I don't comment every day, I don't miss a day here; love your work! I just started using Distress Inks on a daily basis and would love to have a copy of that book. Thanks.

Beautiful card and inspiration! I love distressed inks, besides Memento black, they are the only other stamp pads that remain on my desk! The work you do with yours is incredible! Thanks for a chance to win!

Jill, I just discovered your blog this morning, and it makes me so happy! I wish I could stay home and play today, but I have to go to work. I seldom feel inspired enough to become a Follower, but you've won me over. I love the concept of your blog, the inspiration you share from others, and most of all your own phenomenal artwork. I love your use of vibrant color. And now I have to learn more about the Faber Castel big markers.

Thanks also for offering a great giveaway. Distress inks have long been a fave of mine. I don't expect to win, but it sure would be nice!

Thank you for sharing yourself with the rest of us. I look forward to spending lots of time here!
