New Stamps *Day 1*

Hi everyone! I'm so excited that the time has come when I can reveal some of my favorite new stamps by Penny Black that were released at CHA in January.  Over the next couple of weeks I'll be sharing some of the cards I created for the catalog.  Today's card features this awesome sunflower, 4235L Sunshine:
I've also used this new sentiment set, 30-104 Sweet Wishes:

And I can't forget what I think may be my favorite new stamp from the collection, 40-110 Damask Pattern:
The sunflower was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and embossed using clear powder.  I then colored the flower with Copics and cut out.  The oval was distressed with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and the tan piece (Spellbinders) was inked with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.  The final background was inked with Fired Brick Distress Ink and stamped with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

Thanks for popping by! HUGS!

  1. Love teh flower head like that - so tactile & I certainly did just what your sentiment advised - thoroughly enjoyed your eye candy. Love the tone on tone effect for the background base.
