Julie, Day 2

Here is our next inspiration card by Julie:
This truly is a happy, happy card! I love how she has paired the bright red of the flower center with the warm yellow background. The fringe grass is a charming touch (yes, doesn't Julie always add those charming touches??!!) as is the striped red ribbon. Finally, I just can't get enough of that stitching along the side. So cute!
Here is my take:
Thanks sooo much for popping by! See you tomorrow. :)

Inspired by...Julie

Hi everyone! I don't typically start an "Inspired by..." week on Wednesday, but our next featured artist's work is sooo amazing, I just couldn't wait!!! :) For the next five days, I will be featuring the work of the incredibly talented Julie Ebersole. I love how her cards always have that extra "something" that makes them completely fabulous. You can see lots more of her work on her BLOG and PHOTOSTREAM. Here is today's inspiration card by Julie:
Julie's card is butterfly heaven! I love the bright, fun colors of the butterflies against the white background. The light colors add such a fresh and airy look to her creation. And don't you just love how Julie has stamped the woodgrain on the left of the card?!! Finally, the little gems add just the right sparkle to this charmer!
Here is my take:
And do you see that script background on my card--it's a new fav of mine by Hero Arts (CG197 Old Letter). I love the larger size of the font. Thanks for stopping by!! See you tomorrow with another beautiful card by Julie.

Inspired Stamp Challenge Week, Day 6

It's day 6 of my fun challenge with Jennifer McGuire. :) This is our inspiration card today: {Created by me, originally inspired by Sasya, HERE.}
Jennfer and I are both using the Hero Arts Dogwood (S5362) today:Here's my take: I created the background on this card using Fired Brick Distress Ink and the Fired Brick Distress Ink Refill. First, I used the ink blending tool to apply a light layer of distress ink to white watercolor paper. Then I spritzed it with water. Next, I took the refill dropper in Fired Brick and applied small drops of ink at the top of the paper. I sprayed it heavily with water and the ink dripped down the paper. Once dry, I stamped the script (Hero Arts CG197) and added Walnut Stain Distress Ink to the edges of the background. I think I will be using this technique in the future--so fun (and so messy)!!!

And check out Jennifer's take on the challenge HERE. I can only imagine how beautiful it will be! :) See you soon for our last day of the Inspired Stamp Challenge. I must say, I'm sooo sad to see this coming to an end... :(

Hero Arts Three Sunflowers (S5420) is our stamp selection today: And here's my card. I must admit this may be one of my favorite cards I've ever created because blue and yellow were the colors in my wedding and our flower was the sunflower! :)
I added Distress Stickles in Antique Linen to the centers of the flowers for a little extra sparkle.Be sure to check out Jennifer's take on the challenge on her BLOG, too. I can't wait to see what she made with this sunflower stamp. I know it will be pure perfection!!!

Welcome to Day 2 of my pairing up with Jennifer McGuire for Inspired Stamp Challenge Week. For more information on the challenge, see THIS post. Here's our inspiration card for today: {Created by me, originally inspired by Kelly, HERE.}
Our stamp for today is Hero Arts Floating Garden (CG192). Isn't it lovely?! Here's what I created for today:
To create the oval, I stamped the Floating Garden image on cream cardstock using VersaMark ink. Then I embossed with clear embossing powder. Next, I applied Distress Inks over the embossed image. The backgrounds were created with Distress Ink (Broken China and Rusty Hinge - my new favorite combo).

Thanks soooooo much for stopping by and for leaving such encouraging and kind comments! You all have me smiling BIG! Now, be sure to hop over to Jennifer's BLOG to see what she cooked up!

Joy *Day 5*

Thanks for waiting everyone! :) Get ready, your jaw will be on the floor as soon as you take a peek at this card by Joy: Wow, wow, WOW! I could look at this card forever, just to take in the amazing shading, highlights, and color choices! I love the pairing of the blue of the truck with the brightness of the flowers! Even the small blue border around the main panel accents the the gorgeous image. Finally, Joy always adds the perfect finishing touches, like the embossing on the craft card base!

Here is my take. Joy's awesome coloring inspired me to get out my Copics and do a little coloring, too. (But I must admit, it pales in comparison to Joy's Copic skills!) :Thanks again for stopping by to visit this week and for your lovely comments! BIG thanks to Joy, too, for playing along and letting me share your work this week, my friend. Remember you can always see more of Joy's work on her BLOG and PHOTOSTREAM.
