Inspired by...

Today I have a very special featured artist whom I hold close to my heart, my best friend, Kari! And here is a blast from the past--
a picture of us from high school:

Those were the days! I think that picture is over 10 years old!

I know you will just love Kari's scrapbook layouts. I so admire her sense of style and attention to details. I have a couple of pages from her pregnancy album to share(she is wonderful mom and is expecting kiddo number 3 right now). Because her pages are so spectacular they inspired a couple of cards!

Here is our first page by Kari: I just love that Kari scrapbooks her ultrasound pictures of the tiny little life growing inside of her! The colors on this page are so bright and cheery with perfect distressing, too! And don't you love the flower Kari used in place of one of the photo corners? Perfectly inked around the edges!

Here is my card:
Here is the next scrapbook page by Kari:Kari is such a beautiful and radiant expectant mother! This page is so pretty! I love the orange backdrop accented by those big, bold flowers. The design of her page keeps the focus on the picture and the fun title! Everything on her page is perfectly balanced and sooo eye-catching!

Here is my card inspired by her page:

Thanks, Kari for letting me post a couple of your scrapbook pages on my blog! Thank you most of all for your friendship. I am so lucky to have you!

And thanks everyone for stopping by! I'm still smiling from all of your SWEET comments this week! I'll see you tomorrow with our next "Inspired by..." stamper. Who could it be??? :)

Well if that's not gorgeous inspiration overload I don't know what is! Kari's LO's are so unique, they reflect a very lively personality. And Jill, your cards today are outstanding, the butterfly card has such a dreamy color scheme and I love how you used my favorite sentiment and beautiful stitching on the first card, that flower is amazing! Happy Friday to you!
