Peeks Revealed

A couple of weeks ago I shared a few peeks at some cards I created with some of the new Faber-Castell product being released at the show... well, now I can reveal the cards!  Here we go...
This first card features coloring using the new neutral pack of Art Grip colored pencils released at the show.  I also added distressing to the background using some neutral Gelatos. Stamp by Penny Black, sentiment by SRM stickers.

To create the flower on this card, I colored white cardstock with the beautiful neutral Stamper's Big Brush Markers.  I then die cut this paper using the Tim Holtz tattered floral die.  I spritzed each flower with water and then crumpled it up in my hand.  I carefully "uncrumpled" the flowers and applied heat with the heat gun.  The background was colored with Gelatos, coloring directly onto the paper and then blending with my fingertip.  I stamped the background stamp (Penny Black) using a Stamper's Big Brush Marker.  I also pierced the edges of the background and then used the Pastel Pencil in brown to highlight the raised holes.  To do this I colored heavily with the brown Pastel Pencil onto a scratch piece of paper, rubbed my finger in the color, and then rubbed my finger over the edge of the background. Sentiment by Penny Black.

I'll be back on Friday to share the last of the 3 cards I created using this neutral color palette.  Thanks for visiting!

Absolutely terrific - the first just has such an amazing combination of patterns & colours plus texture. The way that turned over edge is stamped just catches the eye & I love how you have placed a pale layer behind the distressed edges which helps to emphasize the layering. the pearl & twine in the second just finishes it beautifully & again the colours are just terrific. I shall have to see if I can source the products here in the UK.
