Elizabeta *Day 3*

I'm sorry to say that this is our last day of inspiration with the talented Elizabeta.  But never fear, you can always see lots more of her work on her blog HERE.  Check out her card for today:
This lovely collection of butterflies on a beautifully distressed background is totally AMAZING!
Here is my humble take:
The butterflies and flower were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Copic X-Press It Cardstock and colored using Copic markers.  They were then cut out and layered onto a background distressed with Wild Honey, Brushed Corduroy, and Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  All stamps by Penny Black.
Here's a look at what's happening on the Mementos blog today- you'll find a video tutorial for this card:
Thanks so much for peeking!
Hope you all have an awesome weekend! :)

Elizabeta *Day 2*

Here is our next gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS card by Elizabeta:
All of the textures, plus Elizabeta's beautiful color scheme all add up to one striking card!
Now, put on your sunglasses.... LOL.... here is my take:

I began by stamping Penny Black 3865K Gossamer with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto Copic X-Press It cardstock and coloring with Copic Markers.  I then cut out the flowers and leaves.  I inked Tiara white cardstock with Walnut Stain and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and stamped with the PB Gossamer stamp again.  I adhered my cut out flowers and leaves to the brown, inked piece of cardstock. I also added black enamel accents to the centers of the flowers. To create the background, I embossed yellow cardstock and then inked with Wild Honey and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.

And you will definitely want to head over to the Mementos blog today to check out a great way to save--it's an SOS sale!!

Thanks so much for popping by!

Inspired by...Elizabeta

It is so exciting to share that this week's featured artist is a fellow crafter, stamping all the way in Croatia!  Isn't it amazing how this hobby brings us together from all over the world?  And what's even more impressive is Elizabeta's ability to create stunning cards using limited supplies and Croatian sentiments.  I know you will love her blog- you can check it out HERE.  Here's Elizabeta's first inspiration card:
I especially love Elizabeta's beautiful color choices and fun design on her card.  Here is my take:

I began by stamping Penny Black 3645K Modesty with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on to Copic X-Press It cardstock.  Next, I colored in this image using PITT Artist pens- soooo perfect for the tiny details on this stamp.  Once colored, I outlined the image with a Copic Marker (W1).  This adds a nice finishing touch/shadow. The punched scallop was punched from Penny Black Mix and Match Cardstock.  Sentimenty by Penny Black, 4175F Flourish Thank You.  The cardstock containing the sentiment was distressed with Pumice Stone Distress Ink.  And the center to the bow is a Candi dot adhered using glossy accents.

Here's a peek at what's happening on the Mementos blog today:

Thanks for popping by! See you tomorrow with another GORGEOUS card by Elizabeta!
