Heather - Day 5

Welcome to Day 5 of inspiration with Heather Maria! Here is another great card by Heather:

This is a fantastic masculine/boyish card (which are so challenging to make)! I love the different textures Heather has included on this card--Cuttlebugged Swiss Dots, corragated cardstock, and embossing! The color scheme is very eye-catching. Finally, Heather's stars are the perfect embellishment for this masculine card.

Here is my take on Heather's card:

Heather- Day 4

Today's card by Heather Maria is a beauty. Here it is:

And here is a close-up of the dragonfly:

Heather created that amazing dragonfly by trapping snippets of organza between two layers of acetate! Impressive! Another aspect of this card that I love is the three panels behind the dragonfly. This attractive design idea can be adapted to suit many different cards and themes!

Heather - Day 3

Hi everyone! I hope you are inspired as much as I am by Heather's cards! Check out this unique card:

Believe or not the pretty blue pieces of paper on this card are from business envelopes! If that is not creative, I don't know what is! One thing I really love about Heather's cards is so many of her creations have a quilting influence. Nothing can compare to the warmth and homespun feelings evoked by quilts. How fun to use these wonderful patterns and colors on our cards!

Here is my take on Heather's card:

See you tomorrow!

Heather- Day 2

Welcome back! Here is our second fabulous card by Heather:

This is actually an Artist Trading Card (ATC), but doesn't it look like a pretty painting!!?? I love the dark sillouette of the wildflowers against the bright orange and yellow background colors. It reminds me of a beautiful sunset to end the perfect warm summer day. I also love the way Heather cut the main image into smaller, tiled squares. Finally, the dimensional butterfly in the upper right-hand corner is the perfect finishing touch!

Here is my take on Heather's card:

(Sorry for the glare in the picture!!)

See you tomorrow!

Here is today's inspirational card by Heather:

I love the pretty pastel kite. Aren't those hearts the perfect touch for the tail of the kite?! I love the texture of the white scallop layered on the white background paper. Finally, Heather embossed the white cardstock to look like gusts of wind! So clever!

Here is my take on Heather's card:
