Dropping You a Line...

I love this new Penny Black stamp illustrated by Mo Manning, 40-129 Dropping You a Line.  It's so great for those masculine cards that can be difficult to make.
Thanks for your visit, my freinds!  I hope you will continue to join me this week as I share more cards featuring new Penny Black stamps illustrated by Mo Manning.

For You

So you all know how much I love butterflies; right? Then you know how my heart skipped a beat when I saw this new stamp from Penny Black (40-099 Soft Wings):
To create my card I stamped the butterfly using VersaMark ink onto cream colored cardstock and embossed using clear embossing powder.  I then applied Walnut Stain and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink over the embossing.  The background (Penny Black 40-106 Paisley) was stamped onto cardstock using Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. Both dies are by Spellbinders and larger die was inked with Brushed Corduroy and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

Hope you have an awesome weekend!

Guess who's moving??

Hi everyone! I have some news to share- I am soooo thrilled to announce that I am in the process of packing up and moving across the country to my hometown in South Dakota.  My husband and I have been dreaming of moving back near family for quite some time now, and we feel blessed that this is becoming a reality for us.  Because my craft room is currently in boxes, I am taking a couple of weeks off from my Monday PB&J videos.  But never fear I have posts scheduled for ya throughout my move and I'll be back soon with more videos.    Anywho, I consider you friends and just had to share what was happening around the Foster house. :)

Now, how 'bout a card? I mentioned last week how much I love this background (Penny Black 40-110 Damask Background):
And today I've paired it with this new clear set (Penny Black 30-096 Flowers Sweet):

(Sentiment by Penny Black, 30-103 Wishes)

The flower was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and embossed using clear embossing powder.  It was then colored with Copic Markers and the white was added to the center of the flower using a white gel pen.  The oval was distressed with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and then layered onto Spellbinders Deckled Edge Ovals.  To create the background, the stamp was inked with Color Box Chalk Ink and then stamped onto Penny Black Mix and Match cardstock.  The burgandy strip of paper was inked with Aged Mahogany and Seedless Preserves Distress Ink.

Oh, and I also wanted to mention that my UBER talented friend, Elizabeth Allan, has a video up on her blog using this same clear set.  You can check it out HERE.

Thanks again for popping by!
See ya on Wednesday with another card featuring new stamps!

New Stamps *Day 2*

Today's card features this new Penny Black stamp illustrated by Mo Manning.  I have to admit, she is soooooo fun to color!
Penny Black 40-124, You Are a Peach

I began by stamping the image in VersaFine Ink and embossing with clear embossing powder. I then colored in the image using Copics.  The background circles were cut from Penny Black Mix and Match cardstock and were lightly distressed (Faded Jeans, Walnut Stain, Fired Brick).  The large banner was inked with Wild Honey and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.  Sentiment by Penny Black.

Wishing you a wonderful and creative weekend!

New Stamps *Day 1*

Hi everyone! I'm so excited that the time has come when I can reveal some of my favorite new stamps by Penny Black that were released at CHA in January.  Over the next couple of weeks I'll be sharing some of the cards I created for the catalog.  Today's card features this awesome sunflower, 4235L Sunshine:
I've also used this new sentiment set, 30-104 Sweet Wishes:

And I can't forget what I think may be my favorite new stamp from the collection, 40-110 Damask Pattern:
The sunflower was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and embossed using clear powder.  I then colored the flower with Copics and cut out.  The oval was distressed with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and the tan piece (Spellbinders) was inked with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.  The final background was inked with Fired Brick Distress Ink and stamped with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

Thanks for popping by! HUGS!
