Today's inspiring Purple Onion Designer is Julie Dudley! I just love this scrapbook page of hers:Talk about gorgeous, rich color!! I think this teal blue may very well be my favorite color! Julie's embellishments bring this page to life. I love her vertical collection of flowers and little butterflies. The yellow flower centers are a wonderful "pop" of color. Finally, it is so refreshing how Julie's page is gorgeously crafted yet the cute photos remain the center of attention.
Here is my take. I was especially inspired by the collection of flowers with bright centers and the butterfly embellishements.

Today's featured POD designer is my good friend, Joy! Check out her lovely creation:

Could that red flower be any prettier!? No WAY! I love everything about this card. First of all, Joy has created a gorgeous background. The lightly stamped text pairs nicely with the deep brown distressing around the edges. The variety of green in the stem of the flower is a charming detail, as is the line/dot border around the center panel. Finally, the tiny red pearls are such a well-thought out accent as they coordinate perfectly with the flower!

Happy Saturday, my friends! I am thrilled to announce today's inspirational POD designer is Darien!! If you haven't been to Darien's BLOG, make sure to head there ASAP. Her creations are truly a treat for the eyes, loaded with shabby chic style and incredible details. With that said, feast your eyes on this layout by Darien:Where do I begin? This is one of the most beautiful LO's I've ever seen! I love the soft pink colors and gorgeous flowers. The layered music paper is an elegant touch. The banners are a fabulous way to create a title. And finally, those little vintage butterflies make the perfect embellishment.

Today's inspirational Purple Onion Designer is none other than the talented Julie Dudley. Julie makes the most beautiful cards and scrapbook pages. You can see more of her awesome work on her BLOG. Here is Julie's inspiration card: This card is just so soft and sweet! The peach color of the flowers is so appealing. And I love the way Julie has used the spring sentiment stamp to create the stems of the flowers. Finally, the embossed backround adds the perfect amount of texture!
Here is my take: Once again I just can't get enough of THIS Purple Onion set (Stems and Grass). The butterfly is from the POD Vintage Butterfly set, and the sentiment is from Doodle Flower Sentiment, available HERE.

Welcome to another edition of inspiration by my fellow Purple Onion Designers (POD). Today's awesome cardmaker is Sharon Ong. Be sure to check out her amazing BLOG- it's chalk full of awesome creations! Here is Sharon's beautiful card for today:

This card is such a knock out! I love the gorgeous layers that Sharon adds to all of her creations. The white, kraft, and blue is such a fresh color scheme. Sharon never leaves out any details- I mean, check out those flower centers- how creative! Finally, I love the overall design of this card.
Here is my take:
I just can't tell you how much I loved working with THIS set (Stems and Grass) from POD to make this card. The grass is such a versatile image, I find myself reaching for it all the time. The sentiment on this card is from THIS set (Doodle Flower Sentiment).

Welcome to another special edition of "Inspired by..." where I will be featuring a fellow POD designer's work and my card inspired by them. Today's inspirational stamper is the super creative Jennifer Holmes. Make sure to check out her BLOG- it's loaded with inspiration! Here's Jennifer's inspiration card:I love Jennifer's clean and simple design! The pink butterfly really "pops" against the kraft background. The coloring effect is also so fun on the butterfly, showing off the details of this great image. The white outline does a nice job of spotlighting the center panel. Who wouldn't love receiving this birthday card?!!

Hi folks! Today is a special edition of "Inspired by..." Each weekend I plan to feature a fellow Purple Onion (POD) design team member's creation as my inspiration. I hope you enjoy. :) Today's featured artist is the ultra talented Joy Taylor. You can check out more of her awesome cards on her BLOG and PHOTOSTREAM. She even has one incredible technique video which can be seen HERE. So without further ado, here is Joy's inspiration card:

This card is the perfect example of Joy's timeless style! I love how she always pays such close attention to the details like the beautiful row of orange pearls and the impeccable coloring of the orange slice. And did you see the dimension on that orange slice!? So cool! Finally, the embossed background makes for a wonderful, textured back drop for the center panel.
