Mariana *Day 3*

Here is our next delightful card by Mariana:

This card is so tasteful and elegant! I love the simple color scheme. And those pink pearls add the perfect, unexpected accent. The dragonflies look magical. Finally, I really like the look of the black border of the center panel against the bright aqua card base.

Mariana *Day 2*

Here is another beautiful card by Mariana:

You can't help but feel happy when you look at this card! The colors are incredibly bright and spectacular. I love the mix of stamping and pp, too. They really compliment eachother. Finally, that deep navy ribbon adds just the right touch of elegance to this design.

This card is the perfect example of the professional and polished look of Mariana's creations! I love the color scheme on this card-so bold and regal. The flower is colored perfectly and looks wonderful on that panel of kraft cardstock. Finally, the button, twine, and punched border round out this stunner!

Inspired by...Purple Onion Designers

Welcome to another edition of inspiration by my fellow Purple Onion Designers (POD). Today's awesome cardmaker is Sharon Ong. Be sure to check out her amazing BLOG- it's chalk full of awesome creations! Here is Sharon's beautiful card for today:

This card is such a knock out! I love the gorgeous layers that Sharon adds to all of her creations. The white, kraft, and blue is such a fresh color scheme. Sharon never leaves out any details- I mean, check out those flower centers- how creative! Finally, I love the overall design of this card.
Here is my take:
I just can't tell you how much I loved working with THIS set (Stems and Grass) from POD to make this card. The grass is such a versatile image, I find myself reaching for it all the time. The sentiment on this card is from THIS set (Doodle Flower Sentiment).

This red and white color combo is so striking! The distressed edges and light coat of paint around the edges give this a wonderful shabby chic style. The ribbon is a beautiful touch. And check out that pretty, sparkly butterfly. The pearl centers are gorgeous!

Sasya *Day 3*

Feast your eyes on this beautiful creation by Sasya:
Isn't this elegant? I love the rich background with the burgandy image and green distressing! The glitter adds such wonderful sparkle. And isn't that sentiment cute? Finally, I really like the touch of green and peach on the flower embellishments!
Here is my take. I decided to embellish with butterflies where Sasya used the flowers.

My friends, I have made a huge mistake. The card posted below is from Sasya's blog, but it is an ATC made for her by her friend Eva. I owe my deepest apologies to Eva and Sasya for my error. Welcome to another special edition of "Inspired by..." where I will be featuring a fellow POD designer's work and my card inspired by them. Today's inspirational stamper is the super creative Jennifer Holmes. Make sure to check out her BLOG- it's loaded with inspiration! Here's Jennifer's inspiration card:I love Jennifer's clean and simple design! The pink butterfly really "pops" against the kraft background. The coloring effect is also so fun on the butterfly, showing off the details of this great image. The white outline does a nice job of spotlighting the center panel. Who wouldn't love receiving this birthday card?!!

Vanessa *Day 5*

Here is our final inspiration card by the talented Vanessa:

This card is another example of Vanessa's perfectly elegant style! I love the rich green background with the bold fern. Using both the twine and ribbon adds an unexpected, creative twist to this card's embellishments. Finally, the color palette is so natural and appealing!


Here is my take. I was especially inspired by Vanessa's beautiful embossing and ribbon and twine embellishments. AND big thanks to Sue for my new stamp! :)

My first class!

Hi friends! I have a little announcement... I will be teaching my first stamping class at my LSS, Mementos, next month. Here's a peek at the cards we will be making. If any of you are in the Yuma, AZ area I would love to see you there! :) Class dates and times are as follows: Saturday, July 17th at 10 AM and Wednesday, August 4th at 2 PM. Check out this fun butterfly card by Vanessa:Now if this isn't an eye-catching stunner, I don't know what is! I love, love, LOVE how Vanessa has stamped the background in so many warm tones of yellow, gold, and orange. It really adds movement to the background. Vanessa *Day 2*

Here is our next card by Vanessa:Okay, Vanessa's butterflies make my heart skip a beat!! Aren't they gorgeous?! Her coloring is beautiful and I love how she chose to use such a rich color of blue. The soft distressed text in the background is an elegant touch. Vanessa's overall grid design is very eye-catching as well. Finally, Vanessa always remembers the details, like the touch of twine and pretty button on this card.

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a nice weekend! My summer break starts today (I'm a teacher) and I am so excited to have lots of time to stamp! :) WAHOO!
Okay, on to the fun stuff. This week's "Inspired by..." stamper is the queen of elegance---Vanessa! I have admired Vanessa's cards for a loooong time and am so glad she is allowing me to share some of her work. Hi folks! Today is a special edition of "Inspired by..." Each weekend I plan to feature a fellow Purple Onion (POD) design team member's creation as my inspiration. I hope you enjoy. :) Today's featured artist is the ultra talented Joy Taylor. You can check out more of her awesome cards on her BLOG and PHOTOSTREAM. She even has one incredible technique video which can be seen HERE. So without further ado, here is Joy's inspiration card:

This card is the perfect example of Joy's timeless style! I love how she always pays such close attention to the details like the beautiful row of orange pearls and the impeccable coloring of the orange slice. And did you see the dimension on that orange slice!? So cool! Finally, the embossed background makes for a wonderful, textured back drop for the center panel.

I love how Libby's card maintained the light and airy feel of this beautiful dress. Her layers of stamping to recreate the flowers is spot on! The small touch of light blue is gorgeous! Finally, Libby's perfectly tied bow is a great design element!

Is this not the BEST interpretation of Courtney's outfit??!! I LOVE Libby's caterpillar with all of those fun patterns! The polka dot backgrounds add to the whimsy of this design. Finally, the gingham lace and big flower finish off this bright, cheery card!

Inspired by...Libby!

Hi everyone! I am so glad you all stopped by because I have a fun week of inspiration planned as this week my featured artist is Libby (Stampin Libby on flickr). Libby has the coolest BLOG where she creates cards inspired by her daughter Courtney's outfits. SOOO this week, I will be sharing not only Libby's beautiful cards, but also the inspiration photos of her cutie-pie daughter and her super fun outfits. :) So here we go. I just can't get enough of these purple roses! I love Libby's coloring and dimension. The pearls along the bottom of the scallop add to the elegant look. And that lucious purple ribbon- the perfect finishing touch!
