Linda *Days 4, 5, and 6*

Hi everyone! Happy Christmas Eve day! :) I hope you all are celebrating with family and loved ones! Today will be our last day of inspiration with Linda. Thanks so much for stopping by and thanks again, Linda, for allowing me to share your fabulous cards!! I hope you all continue to stop by Linda's blog and photostream for inspiration-- I know I will be!

Because of the holidays, I have a triple dose of Linda's creativity today! Here is her first inspiration card:

I just love Linda's mix of patterned paper and stamping--this is so challenging for me! Linda's sentiment is perfect for this fall card. I love the little punched or cut-out leaves. They are such a great touch! Finally, I think the overall design of this card is quite appealing--a great starting off point for a card.

Here is my take:
Here is the next inspiration card by Linda:

Isn't this a beauty! That sky is just too good!! The bright pink flowers are so cheery. And nothing is more fun than ric-rac-- an embellishment I need to set out on my craft table so I remember to add it to more cards! I also really love the blue butterfly which adds a great texture as it is the same blue as the sky.
Here is my take:

And finally, here is our last card by Linda, aka Oz, AND aka The Background Queen:

Isn't that background simply gorgeous!? I love the mix of text and light butterflies. I can't get enough! The elegant sentiment adds to the design! The lacey embellishment under the sentiment is the perfect femine detail for this dainty card!
Here's my take:

Linda *Day 3*

Here is the next brilliant card by Linda:

I love how Linda has arranged two different "panels" plus a circle as the focal point on her card! They really pop against the nuetral background. The shading with distress ink is perfect and includes white "highlighted" areas to add even more visual interest! Finally, I love the subtle stamping of the pine needles in the background.

Here is my card inspired by Linda's gorgeous holiday creation. I decided to do an arrangement of panels/tags. Linda also inspired me to break out the distress inks for each of my tags.

Thanks again for stopping by! Hope you are all enjoying the holidays with friends and family! :)

Inspired by... Linda (aka Oz)!

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by! Because of the holidays, this week I am sharing a shortened version of "Inspired by.." featuring the talented Linda aka Oz. One fabulous talent of Linda's is making stamping videos. Be sure to check out her blog, as she always posts links to her fun videos there.

Here is our first card by Linda:

I love her beautifully distressed background featuring holly leaves and vintage text. The combination of the grossgrain ribbon and the satin ribbon is so pleasing to the eye! Her sentiment looks great with the die cut. Finally, the gems below the sentiment add the perfect bit of bling to this gorgeous card!

To see how Linda created her gorgeous background, you can visit her videos here (part 1) and here (part 2).

Here is my take on Linda's card:

I created my background using the techniques in her video, then cut it apart into three panels. I had so much fun distressing and building up the layers on this particular background. Linda's video mentioned some great tips and I was SO inspired to start stamping after I watched her create!

See you tomorrow with another of Linda's great cards!
