Inspired by...Gina *Day 4*

I love Gina's cards so much I just had to sneak in another one this week. :)  Check out this beautiful creation of hers:
I was especially inspired by her earthy colors and the addition of that pretty doily!
Here's my take:
The flower and butterflies (Penny Black 30-095 Flower Festival) were stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  They were then colored with Copics.  The backgrounds were inked with the following Distress Inks: Tea Dye, Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade, and Gathered Twigs. Sentiment by Penny Black 30-105 Gratitude.

See you soon- I've got some beautiful projects created by my niece, mom, and sister-in-law to share in my next post. :)

Gina *Day 3*

Happy Friday, my friends! Here is our next inspiration card by Gina:
I just love Gina's coloring on this (isn't the blue glow behind the flower just stunning?) and her overall layout is beautiful, too!  Here's my take:
All stamps by Penny Black: 4233K Butterfly Kiss, 1999L Letter Background
Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend!
I'm excited to announce that I will be resuming my PB&J videos on Monday, so I hope you'll stop by. :)

Gina *Day 2*

Here's our next inspiration card by Gina:
I LUV Gina's beautiful color scheme combined with the white embossing.  It's so fresh and springy.  Here's my take using her colors with white embossing:

I began by stamping Penny Black 40-101 Mosaic with VersaMark Ink and embossing with white embossing powder.  Next, I inked this piece with Tea Dye Distress Ink.  This made it easy to see where the flowers were when I colored them using Prismacolor Pencils.  This piece was trimmed and mounted onto white and brown cardstock.  Sentiment, Penny Black 30-105 Gratitude, was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.
Thanks for peeking! HUGS!

Inspired by...Gina A.

I'm so thrilled to announce that this week's featured artist is Gina Alferez.  Gina makes beautiful cards and I was lucky enough to meet her in person at CHA this year, and let me tell you, she's as sweet as pie!
Here is today's inspiration card from Gina.  I love that she used a Penny Black Christmas stamp, Poinsettia Script, to create a gorgeous sunflower background. So clever!
And here's my take:
I began by stamping Penny Black 4236K Sunburst onto white cardstock using VersaFine Vintage Sepia Ink.  I heat embossed the flowers using clear embossing powder and then colored them with Copics.  Next, I inked the background using Peeled Paint and Forest Moss Distress Ink.  Penny Black 2025M Music Note Background was stamped with Peeled Paint Distress Ink, removing some ink with a baby wipe before stamping.  The sentiment, Penny Black Sweet Wishes, was stamped onto Spellbinders Labels 7 using VersaFine Vintage Sepia Ink.  The Labels 7 dies were inked with Peeled Paint and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.
Thanks for stopping by! See ya on Wednesday with another FAB card by Gina!
