Diana *Day 5*

Yesterday we had a warm sunny photo by Diana, today I've chosen its opposite:Isn't it pretty, though? I love the winter wonderland look where each branch is coated in sugary frost and sparkles in the sun. I especially love looking at it in beautiful photographs like this (not in real life!). Diana did such a great job of capturing the feeling one has when they look at the fresh snow and blue skies. So refreshing!

Here is my card--I was especially inspired by the colors in Diana's picture:

Thanks again for stopping! I hope you will join me tomorrow when I share our last inspirational photo by Diana.

Diana *Day 3*

You are going to love this sunset photo by Diana:

The orange in this photo is absolutely magnificent! The sun's halo creates a warm glow. A sunset always reminds me of God's greatness and the beautiful gifts He gives us every day, as long as we stop our hectic lives long enough to enjoy the simple things in life.

Here is my take on Diana's photo. I just had to play with those oranges and the bright sun. This card will soon be on its way to my favorite snowbirds... :) Can't wait to see you!

Thanks, my friends, for all of your comments! Your encouragement ALWAYS inspires me! :)

Diana *Day 2*

Hi! Welcome back to our week of cards inspired by Diana's gorgeous photography!
This is our next beautiful photo:
This is a powerful image to me. I am amazed how Diana was able to capture the bird in flight and the rippling water. The mountains are so dark and dramatic. I love the contrast between the large, dark mountains and the small bird making its way across the grey sky.

Here is my card inspired by this photo:

Thanks again for stopping by and for your kind comments! See you tomorrow!

Inspired by... Designs by Diana!

Hi everyone! I hope you had a fabulous Christmas and are still enjoying the company of friends and family. I am very excited to share the work of this week's featured artist--Diana. Diana is an accomplished stamper as well as photographer. You can check out her work on her blog and also her flickr photostream. You will be in awe of her talent! Often Diana combines her photography and stamping into lovely creations like this beauty and this one, too. This week I am going to be making cards inspired by Diana's photography.

Here is Diana's first gorgeous inspiration photo:

I love these cheery, pink flowers! Such a pretty arrangement. I love the contrast between the natural beauty of the flowers and greenery against the stone walkway. Plus, pink and grey make such a nice color combo.

Here is my take. (I used this technique to create the brick. BTW Beate's blog is loaded with awesome tutorial videos like the one I used here.)

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are as excited as I am to see more of Diana's stunning photography! See you tomorrow!
