I was especially inspired by the design of her card, using the two circles- one large for the image and one small for the sentiment. The beautiful ribbon creates a gorgeous accent! Here's my take:
The green background for this card was created by layering Faber-Castell gelatos onto watercolor paper. To blend I would rub the paper with a baby wipe and also with my fingertip. And if you're wondering how I created the panel with the circle, be sure to tune in to next Monday's PB&J video where I'll be making 3 new card using this technique. :) All stamps by Penny Black.
See ya tomorrow with another great card by Dina.
Thanks for dropping by!

Love your tulips Jill. So pretty
Wow! Gorgeous cards from the two of you today! Love the two-circle design and fab colors!
Both cards are just lovely! The circle technique is great and makes a beautiful card! Thank you!
LOVE the technique with the circles. You are doing so great with the gelatos. How do you possibly have time to get all of this beautiful work accomplished?
Thanks for all your samples and ideas. Will have to put Gelatos on a wish list for some time in the future.
Just beautiful, Jill1 Love your "watercolored" tulips.
Love them!!! Can't wait to see how you did those cool flowers!
What a great sketch to use for cards and the cards are soooo nice! Great job, ladies!
Soo beautiful Jill! Love those tulips :)
Love Dina's original and your gorgeous inspired by version! Jo x
Love LOVE the depth you created with your blended background panel. Gorgeous!
Thanks for walking us into a field of tulips Jill. The colors just burst from this card. Dina's cards are wonderful and I have enjoyed being treated to her work this week as well.
Thoroughly looking forward to the video. I love the way you used the same colours as the tulips for edging the sentiment circle.

What truly spectacular cards both of these are! I love the true 'arty' feel of yours, Jill. It's like looking at a canvas...the gelatos have helped create the perfect background for these stunning tulips. xxx
Very pretty card Jill. So love the green background you created. The depth you achieved is wonderful! I also feel I have to apologize for falling off the face of the earth just after my guest design spot on the Penny Black blog. I was in a ski racing accident just after the post and haven't felt like doing much of anything, including be in the studio or checking out blogs. Feeling better now and hope to get back to it all in the next week or two. Take care. ~lisa
