Guess who's moving??

Hi everyone! I have some news to share- I am soooo thrilled to announce that I am in the process of packing up and moving across the country to my hometown in South Dakota.  My husband and I have been dreaming of moving back near family for quite some time now, and we feel blessed that this is becoming a reality for us.  Because my craft room is currently in boxes, I am taking a couple of weeks off from my Monday PB&J videos.  But never fear I have posts scheduled for ya throughout my move and I'll be back soon with more videos.    Anywho, I consider you friends and just had to share what was happening around the Foster house. :)

Now, how 'bout a card? I mentioned last week how much I love this background (Penny Black 40-110 Damask Background):
And today I've paired it with this new clear set (Penny Black 30-096 Flowers Sweet):

(Sentiment by Penny Black, 30-103 Wishes)

The flower was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and embossed using clear embossing powder.  It was then colored with Copic Markers and the white was added to the center of the flower using a white gel pen.  The oval was distressed with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and then layered onto Spellbinders Deckled Edge Ovals.  To create the background, the stamp was inked with Color Box Chalk Ink and then stamped onto Penny Black Mix and Match cardstock.  The burgandy strip of paper was inked with Aged Mahogany and Seedless Preserves Distress Ink.

Oh, and I also wanted to mention that my UBER talented friend, Elizabeth Allan, has a video up on her blog using this same clear set.  You can check it out HERE.

Thanks again for popping by!
See ya on Wednesday with another card featuring new stamps!

Good Luck with your move. My family is in the process of moving also. My craft stuff has been moved and I am so lost without it. We are in final packing mode and hope to be there in two weeks. Take care.

I love your work and look forward to seeing lots after you are settled.

It's great to read that you are returning home, Jill! I'm guessing that a little "climate-adjustment" will be taking place in the next few months, and especially next winter. ;-) So glad that you'll still be blogging.

When I read that Mementos was closing my heart sunk as it was one of the stores that I just discovered while visiting my Mother-in-law. I thought of you and where you will teach your craft.

Now, we know! Congratulations on your move home and we look forward to hear what store you will be teaching at in South Dakota!

Also, the Penny Black Damask background and Flowers Sweet stamps are beautiful. Your card is lovely!

Have a wonderful move!

Take care of yourself midst all the stress of moving & i hope it works out smoothly for you. The way your bakcground swirl is echoed by the tendrils of the plant is just lovely & that little aqua pearl just highlights the colour of the background beautifully.
