Inspired by... Designs by Diana!

Hi everyone! I hope you had a fabulous Christmas and are still enjoying the company of friends and family. I am very excited to share the work of this week's featured artist--Diana. Diana is an accomplished stamper as well as photographer. You can check out her work on her blog and also her flickr photostream. You will be in awe of her talent! Often Diana combines her photography and stamping into lovely creations like this beauty and this one, too. This week I am going to be making cards inspired by Diana's photography.

Here is Diana's first gorgeous inspiration photo:

I love these cheery, pink flowers! Such a pretty arrangement. I love the contrast between the natural beauty of the flowers and greenery against the stone walkway. Plus, pink and grey make such a nice color combo.

Here is my take. (I used this technique to create the brick. BTW Beate's blog is loaded with awesome tutorial videos like the one I used here.)

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are as excited as I am to see more of Diana's stunning photography! See you tomorrow!

Supplies

Stamps: Flower (Hero Arts Digi Kit Poetic Petals), Leaves (Hero Arts Digi Kit Delicate Leaves), Text (Inkadinkado); Ink: Distress Ink (Tim Holtz); Other: Dimensional Adhesive (All Night Media), Distress Stickles (Ranger), Misc. Cardstock and Thread, Scallop Punch (Fiskars)

I am most honored Jill. I too loved the gerber daisy bouquet. I had 3 of them made for the grand opening of The Studio 56 and just had to photograph them. Your card is a PERFECT take on the bouquet. Love the bricks you created. You are very inspiring to me! Thanks friend!

Love Diana's gorgeous photo today and your card is gorgeous too. The beautiful flower looks wonderful against the brick background. Thanks for the link - it looks like a fun technique I'd like to try.
