Polaroid Christmas PB&J

Hello, my friends.  I hope you all had a great weekend.  I found some time to relax with my hubby and it was just what I needed! :)  I'm back today with another PB and J video.  This week on the PB blog we are sharing Christmas cards with the theme of nature.
These polaroid cards were inspired by the AWESOME Sarah, see her original HERE.
To watch a complete video tutorial of the creation of these cards, visit the Penny Black blog HERE or watch directly in HD on YouTube HERE.  (Please note, if you have subscribed to my YouTube channel to receive automatic updates of PB and J videos, this video has been uploaded to the Penny Black channel- you can subscribe HERE.  And don't worry, I'll still be uploading lots of videos to my channel as well! You can subscribe to my channel HERE.)
Thanks for peeking! Have a wonderful day and see you tomorrow with our next featured artist of the week.

Jenyfur *Day 3*

Well, it's certain, this week with Jenyfur has gone by MUCH too fast! Here's our last inspiration card created by Jenyfur:Could her coloring on that flower be any more amazing? NOT POSSIBLE! And the subtle stamped background is so pretty. Finally, I love the fibers she's added- perfect match with her color scheme!
Here is my take, especially inspired by Jenyfur's colors:
Penny Black 4037K Mixed Media was stamped two times with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Tiara White Cardstock. One image was distressed with Pumice Stone and Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I then added twine and layered this onto white cardstock and an orange notecard. The other stamped image was colored (flowers only) with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft PITT Artist Pens. I cut out the flower images and adhered them to the card.

And finally, here's one more peek at what's cookin' over on the Mementos Blog.

BIG thanks to Jenyfur for allowing me to share her work this week! She uploads her awesome cards to her Flickr Photostream HERE, I'm sure you'll want to be checking it often (I always do!). Thanks also to all of you for your visits and sweet comments this week. Hope you all have a charming weekend!

Jenyfur *Day 2*

I'm back again today with another fab inspiration card by Jenyfur:
Jenyfur is truly the master of any style! She creates beautiful elegant cards, happy artsy cards, and then such cute cards like today's, sure to make ANYONE smile!
Here is my take:
The rose, Penny Black Rosa, was colored with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Markers and then I added highlights with Faber-Castell's white Pastel Pencil. The die cut, Spellbinders Labels 16, was inked with Broken China, Walnut Stain, and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. These were each layered and then mounted onto patterned paper and cardstock inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. Sentiment by Penny Black, 30-072 Air Mail.

Here's a look at what's happening on the Memento's Blog today:

Thanks for popping by!
See you soon- I'm very excited to be participating in a fun blog hop tomorrow.

Inspired by...Jenyfur

This week I am thrilled to announce that our featured artist is none other than the UBER talented Jenyfur! All of her cards are always so polished and beautiful, just like her inspiration card for today:
I love the crispness of the white frame. And Jenyfur's color scheme is so elegant. Who would have ever thought that grey grass could be so wonderful!!

Here is my take:
The sweet little girl, Penny Black 4152K Peppermint Polly, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Copic XPress It cardstock. She was then colored with Copic Markers and I cut out her body, scarf, and flower. Before trimming the frame, I restamped her onto Tiara White Cardstock. Next I cut on the frame and inked the center portion with Pumice Stone Distress Ink. I also stamped Penny Black 40-054 Sweet Home in Pumice Stone Distress Ink. The outer frame and Polly were adhered and mounted using Pop Dots. Sentiment by Penny Black, 30-032 Enjoy Life.
Before you go, have a couple of other things to share today. This card set was my Faber-Castell Make and Take project in the Penny Black booth at CHA. If you pop over to the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Blog (click HERE) you will find a photo tutorial showing how these were created. (Oh, and the stamp used is a *NEW* stamp by Penny Black, available for preorder HERE.)
And before you go here's a peek at what is happening on the Mementos Blog today.

PB&J

Hi everyone! I hope you enjoy the new, updated look of the blog and get a chance to explore the new tabs and features! It was such a pleasure working with Kristina Proffitt- she is an amazing designer and has a heart of GOLD. :)

Now can you believe it is already August? Time is going by so quickly and I have to admit that it feels pretty strange not to be headed off to school to prepare my classroom! Well, in keeping with the fall spirit, here is a look at today's PB&J card:
You will find the VIDEO TUTORIAL for this card on the Penny Black blog HERE or watch directly on YouTube by clicking HERE.
And I wanted to take a moment to mention something I am VERY excited about...

Jill's Holly Jolly Stampin' Party

Mementos has all of my favorite *NEW* Penny Black Christmas stamps available for preorder. (Check them out HERE.) They are due to ship to stores the end of August. I will be hosting a 3 week event on the Mementos Blog, Jill's Holly Jolly Stampin' Party, featuring these new stamps! Not only that, but I will also have a Holly Jolly Stampin' Party DVD with 10 more, never-seen-before, cards and videos using these new stamps. These cards will be exclusive to those who purchase the DVD and will not be shared anywhere else. Because Lisa, Mementos owner, is soooo generous (and as excited as me to get our Christmas cards made early this year!) she is offering a bundle deal on the stamps I am using on the blog AND in my DVD to save you money and make it easy to play along. Mementos will ship these stamps to you, along with your DVD, before the 3 week extravaganza on the blog so you can play along as we post each day on the blog! More info available (including approximate shipping times for preorders) on the Bundle Sale HERE and on the Holly Jolly Stampin' DVD Party HERE. (stamps can also be ordered individually, too) I sure hope you decide to warm up your hot cocoa and participate! :)
Oh, and BTW, I just saw that Mementos has some cute Penny Black stamps on sale right now (25% off) HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
See you tomorrow with our next featured artist- she has such a beautiful style and I can't wait to show off her work!
