Here is my take. I was especially inspired by Teneale's overall design:
The green background is patterned paper which was inked with Walnut Stain and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. And again, I used my new fav tool, Sew Easy, to add the pierced border. (piercing from the back and then inking) The yellow background began as patterned paper which was then inked with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink and then stamped with Penny Black 1999L Letter Background in Spiced Marmalade as well. Scallops and circle distressed with Brushed Corduroy and Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The butterfly was inked with Rusty Hinge and Fired Brick Distress Ink, spritzed with water, stamped onto white cardstock, and then cut out. Sentiment by Penny Black, 30-014 Salutations.
And the day wouldn't be complete without a peek at what's poppin' over on the Mementos blog; right?...

Love your take on the Pink monochromatic card Jill.
Thank you Jill to introducing us to Teneale and all the wonderful artwork the two of you created this week. Have a happy weekend!
Wow! Teneale's card is gorgeous! Love all the pink-thank you for showcasing her work. Your card is stunning as well. I'm going to have to try that technique of piercing from the back and then distressing. Thanks for commenting on my blog, Jill. Hope your weekend is amazing and you see God's glorious blessings all around you!
Oh I really love both of these Jill! You're right, the design is really awesome! And I am totally in love with both butterflies!

So cool, great colors & stamping. Once again I will have to say neat idea with using the sew easy just for piercing!
Lovely cards both of them. Like your holey edging Jill
Love your take on Teneale's lovely card. Your color scheme is great and the butterfly is the perfect touch.
Fabulous cards. It's so much fun seeing how one stamper is inspired by another stamper and you two are just awesome!
