BLOG TAKEOVER- Day 6

You know I couldn't stop at just five days of takeovers, I just had to make it 6. Today's guest blogger is the absolutely AMAZING Joy Taylor:

Hi there everyone, Joy here taking over Jill’s blog for the day whilst she plays at CHA….all I will say is lucky gal!! So this week we have seen some amazing creations from some very talented girls…such eye candy to behold. Today, it is my turn to be inspired by one of Jill’s amazing creations and I have chosen this gorgeous card.

This card makes you drool right? I mean talk about having the WOW! factor…I love everything about this card, from the colour blocks to the tone on tone effect in the background to the gorgeous poppy stamp.

To honour this truly beautiful creation, I am sharing my take on Jill’s card….this is what I chose to create….

My card was created using lots of Hero Arts goodies….stamping the poppy stamp onto white card stock, adding a dusting of Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy distress ink and trimming the poppy heads out. Staying with the poppy stamp, I stamped it again onto more white card stock and added the colour blocks of distress ink, Broken China, Dusty Concord, Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint. Using more distress ink, Brushed Corduroy, I inked up the La Lettre stamp and stamped over the entire card stock. Next, I adhered the flowers that had been trimmed earlier and using foam dimensionals I adhered to the poppy that was stamped on the card stock. Finishing the card by stamping a sentiment to the card stock from the Huge Hugs stamp set and adhering to a trimmed white card.

I hope you all have enjoyed viewing these creations today and I just want to send out a huge thanks to Jill for asking me to be apart of this week…Jill inspires me so much and has become a truly wonderful friend and I am honoured that she took the time to ask me to share this day with you all…
Big thanks Jill!! Hope you all have an amazing day!

Hugs, Joy

Joy your take on Jill's card is outstanding to say the least. Love the fact that you stamped the poppy image on white cardstock and made it pop with that amazing background. Such a striking card Joy sweetie. Thanks for sharing today.
