Debby *Day 2*

Hi everyone! Welcome to Day 2 of inspiration with Debby! Her card today is sure to knock your socks off: Aren't these neutral colors breathtaking? And the touch of script at the bottom is such a great touch. Finally, I love her use of baker's twine with this elegant design.
Here is my take:

I began by stamping Penny Black 40-012 Irises with Antique Linen Distress Ink onto Tiara White cardstock. Next, I colored directly over this image using Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Art Grip Aquarelles (no water used on this card). I inked this entire piece of cardstock with Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. To create the paint splatters, I colored with a Stamper's Big Brush Marker onto an acrylic block, spritzed the acrylic block with water, dipped my paint brush into the ink, and then splattered across the paper. The script, Penny Black 1999L Letter Background, was stamped at the bottom using Antique Linen Distress Ink. To create the orange background, I swiped a Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink Pad directly across the paper. I inked all edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and mounted onto a white card base cut from Tiara White Cardstock. Sentiment by Penny Black, 30-032 Enjoy Life.
And I also wanted to mention, in case you wanted to play along, that this week I am the host over on the Penny Black blog and the challenge is anything to do with "distressing" - Distress Inks, distressed edges, paint splatters... ANYTHING distressed! :)

Today on the Mementos Blog I am sharing this card set created with Penny Black stickers and distress inks and stains. I had a ball creating this set and I also have a video tutorial posted today for these cards- I hope you can stop by and see it HERE. www.ilovemementos.blogspot.com

Thanks for visiting!!! See you tomorrow! HUGS!
