Meet Tom and Lily

This next new stamp by Penny Black (illustrated by Mo Manning) may very well be one of my favorite stamps from this release, 40-098 Tom and Lily:
I began by stamping the image onto the oval (Spellbinders Nestabilities) with VersaFine Black Ink, embossing with clear embossing powder, and coloring with Copic Markers.  The purple background was distressed with Dusty Concord and Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  Then I pierced the holes from the back using the Tim Holtz ruler.  Once pierced, I turned to the front and lightly sanded the holes.  The notecard was distressed with Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  Sentiment by Penny Black (All You Need...).

See ya tomorrow with more new stamps and cards!

This is terrific cropped & superb with the contrast of orange with deep mauve. The pearls really add such a lovely touch the way they are scattered & the shading of the bench they are sitting on really makes it glow. I'm certainly looking at these Mo Manning images with different eyes.

Such a sweet image....I mean really, don't we all want to become "that couple" someday? I love to see older "lovebird" in the park, still holding hands.....you did a beautiful job and I love the crop job....really makes me feel like I am "peeking" in on their moment.
